health care costs

i got annoyed again and wrote to my representative about health care.  here is part of his response:

You may also be interested to know that I am an original co-sponsor of the Public Option Deficit Reduction Act (HR 261), which instructs the Secretary of Health and Human Services to create a low-cost public health insurance option without compromising quality or access to care. A public option will maintain consumer choice, while providing affordable, high-quality coverage. It will also increase competition and help drive down insurance costs. I am also a co-sponsor of the Expanded and Improved Medicare For All Act (HR 676), which would establish a privately-delivered, publicly-financed universal health care system, significantly improving the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our health care system. Both of these bills have been referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. While I do not serve on this committee, I will continue to advocate for these bills as they make its way through Congress.
i was definitely interested to know that.   that's from keith ellison, a decent man who actually wants to help his constituents.  my former representative, before they redrew the district, was erik paulsen, a worthless jerk who never met a businessman he wouldn't blow.  his lead staff guy on health care reform in 2009 was andy christianson, a worthless slug whose main duty was to lie to constituents.  he lied to my face at a townhall meeting and then slithered away, leaving a trail on which i was careful not to step.

you're a lucky guy! Congressman Ellison is my rep too & he is doing one hell of a job in DC. I wish there were a couple hundred more just like him.
