Why Jerry Sandusky, Bobby Fine, and Graham James Happen

It may have been the correct call, but the leaders of the MIAA have no business being allowed anywhere near high school athletes:
The MIAA statement Wednesday said a lesson could be learned from the situation.

"Losing a game or having an official's call go against you or your team are all part of sports. Just like athletes and coaches, officials try hard to do the best job possible. Athletes must learn to put these things behind them and move forward. During their lifetime they will experience similar situations where they feel 'wronged' by a superior or authority figure and they must learn to deal with that situation."

My working assumption is now that anyone who works as a coach in Massachusetts solely under MIAA jurisdiction* is a child molester who wants the free pass they will get because the kids "must learn to deal with that situation."

At least Jim "Bobby Fine is my friend, why would I investigate him" Boeheim offered an Ashton-like apology for his initial remarks. These idiots are proud that they can abuse their power over kids.

*As distinct from sports that have a separate Governing Body, such as USA Swimming, where they understand that the kids "don't just have to take it."
