i have a meme...orandum! part 7

republicans feeling blue as scott brown win backfires - boston herald:
“we start to wonder whether we helped a rino (republican in name only) get into office,” said tea party activist jeffrey mcqueen, who traveled from michigan to campaign for brown in the final days of the jan. 19 special election that rocked the nation.

“if it wasn’t for the tea party movement, scott brown wouldn’t have gotten that seat. we expect to see a true conservative in there.”

in fact, democrats now say brown’s election as the so-called “41st vote” to block obama’s health-care overhaul inspired them to seek procedural means to bypass gop efforts to derail the bill.

“scott brown’s election actually delivered health-care reform, because we didn’t need the 60 votes to make it happen. he delivered a significant victory in that,” [mass. democratic party chairman john] walsh said.
so pls. be sure to read meme-orandum, esp. this week, when dems are celebrating a slow, painful, and tiny baby step back towards reality!

I'm sitting in a medical office and my last patient, who has Medicare and supplemental insurance, bitched about the government takeover of health care. Clueless. We just want for all what he has.

No, you do not want what he has. For one thing Medicare declines twice as many claims as private insurance, for another it pays so bad more and more doctors won't even take them as patients.

As for the Brown thing, I realize that Democrats do not follow the rules, but that does not mean they have to be so stupid about how they work.

The only reason the Democrats were able cram this crap sandwich down America's throat via Reconciliation is that it had already passed the Senate. If Brown had been elected earlier, there would not have been a Senate bill for the House to vote for.

Whatever, it is a bad bill and it will bankrupt the country. But then again, I think that is eactly what the Democrats want.

BTW, I heard a really interesting tape today of one of the Obama/Clinton debates. Obama was yammering away about how unfair and wrong mandates were. Needless to say, he was able to put aside his principles and sign the bill.

pathetic.
