absolutely brilliant and cutting through the bull***p and telling it like it is.
"let me see if i have this straight. you need to replace perhaps the most beloved liberal in the history of the senate with a candidate that believes curt schilling is a yankee fan. because if this lady loses, the health care reform bill that the beloved late senator considered his legacy will die....and the reason it will die is because if coakley loses, democrats will only have then an 18-vote majority in the senate. which is more than george w. bush ever had in the senate when he did whenever the f**k he wanted to do." - tpm (has the video. 10 minutes well worth the time)

I saw this and laughed and cried at the same time. But my problem is this. I really think that this is where Dean and the Democrats screwed up royally. By running ANY winnable Democrat in name only, the perception is there that the Dems have control of the Senate. Sure, Reid is heading the Senate, but the Blue Dogs are running this circus. There are better than 10 DINO Senators that are more Republican than they are Democrat in my opinion, not to mention Joe Lieberman. By consistently giving the illusion that they are in charge, Reid and the rest of the Dems just show how utterly inept they appear to be. The Republicans have been in lockstep -- one might say goose-step -- in opposition to everything and the Blue Dogs have done everything in their power to undermine progress. Ask me, the enemy within is more destructive than the enemy without. And the public has had it with this mess -- because the one thing we as a nation hate more than any other bad form of government, it's the appearance of ineptitude -- and so the Republicans are likely to gain a super majority of their own inside of 6 years. And there won't be any RINOs among them.

Sean, I suspect the reason the Blue Dogs have been placated is that the Dems watching the division within the Republican party and figuring to pick up moderates like Snowe and Collins.

Either that, or they've calculated that the BDs would defect to a Tea-Partyless GOP, which would truly leave the Democrats a minority party.

Friggin' depressing!

They need to man up.

Could have passed it a long time ago instead of pandering to the pubs.

That's the point: they weren't.

Obama's original proposals made absolutely no mention of a public option, and the only sop they threw was to tax those premium plans.

No, the pandering was to Ben Nelson and Joe Lieberman, all in the name of unity.

Hilarious, as usual.

Telling moment during the Massachusetts election: Ms. Coakley had to take time off to go to a fundraiser being run on her behalf by

wait for it...

Pfizer and a couple of other giant pharmaceutical companies.

Yessirree, the whole reason every medical-industry megacorp in North America and Western Europe is hiring semis to ship money to K Street so they can get this bill passed is because it's all for the benefit of the Little People. And, of course, because the Republicans are the Party of Big Business.

At least it explains why you can't hear what the American people are saying. You don't even listen to yourselves. It comes out funner'n the circus. All you need is the white greasepaint.
