Park Your Carcass

As I mentioned in the post below, while reviewing Ken Burns' new films on PBS The National Parks: America's Greatest Idea, Mrs. Skippy and I are big fans of the National Parks System. Here is a list of the National Parks we have visisted:

Not to mention the myriad of state parks we have also enjoyed!

Bartkid sez,
Quick, before all the glacier is all gone, you have to visit Glacier National Park , MT (Seriously, it is nearly all gone; thanks global warming).

I gotta love the North Cascades National Park. I was born near there and will always call those forests and peaks home. They're the American Alps.

Might even see a Bigfoot if you stay long enough.(Or a big ass bear but one hairy carnivore is just like another if you're the one running for your life)

Here are places I've made it to. Only five are actually National Parks, but all were spectacular:
Badlands National Park
Denali National Park & Preserve
Everglades National Park
Gettysburg National Military Park (not a National Park, but a National Military Park)
Haleakala National Park
Kenai Fords National Park
Mount Rushmore National Memorial (not a National Park)
Muir Woods National Monument (not a National Park)
Touro Synagogue National Historic Site (not a National Park)

First commenter (anon) beat me to it. Glacier National is my fave AND the glaciers are melting fast. The trip along "Going to the Sun Road" is one in a lifetime. Get a cabin, accessible only by horseback, stay the week. Don't tease the bears!
