and it's not looking pretty.

a brush fire burning in the angeles national forest north of la canada flintridge has expanded to at least 20,000 acres, according to fire officials, knocking out power to hundreds of homes and forcing evacuations in a number of communities.

..."it's moved over to altadena, southeast of where it stated, it's moved north, east and southwest. it's been basically moving all over the place," forest service spokesman bruce quintelier said. - ktla
and some rocket scientists are sweating...the fire is approaching the nasa's jet propulsion lab.

Scary. It's been a long time since there's been a fire this close to where I live. And it's not that close, it just looks like all that smoke is that close. And it's too damn hot, too, but thank the FSM there's no wind.
