rumor central

politico tells us meg stapelton tells us sarah palin is not, repeat, not getting a divorce.

“yet again, some so-called journalists have decided to make up a story,” wrote meg stapleton on palin’s facebook page. “there is no truth to the recent ‘story’ (and story is the correct term for this type of fiction) that the palins are divorcing. the palins remain married, committed to each other and their family, and have not purchased land in montana (last week it was reported to be long island).”

actually, no journalists had reported the allegations. they were made on an alaskan blog called “the immoral minority,” and then repeated on other blogs, including gawker, a well-trafficked new york gossip site.

putting aside the pot of johnathan martin calling the blogger kettle non-journalist black, we must point out that the immoral minority was the first source to correctly report palin was the pick for the gop veep nom, and the first source to correctly report that palin was resigning, so they stand behind their source in the palin camp.

meanwhile, gryphen, the writer of the immoral minority, has received a letter from palin's attorney threatening the service of a legal summons @ gryphen's day job, which is teaching kindergarten.

you know what is funny,...
there were "rumors" about Bristol being pregnant last summer...oooops she was ....that Sarah was planning to quit...oooops she did...or oops that there was trouble between her and McCain & McCain Staff......oooooops there was.....there were rumors she went on HUGE spending sprees....ooooops she did....
