presidents...schmesidents

apparently upcoming american generations don't need to know about george washington or abraham lincoln. texan textbook makers are removing their biographies to make room for "newty gingrinch" and "drug addicted bouncy bouncy limbaugh"

the 15-member committee, stacked with 10 republicans, is expected to vote along party lines. earlier this year, a panel of right-wing “experts” produced a report urging the committee to remove biographies of george washington, abraham lincoln, stephen f. austin, and césar chávez, and instead add history about the “motivational role the Bible and the christian faith played in the settling of the original colonies.” - think progress

rewriting history to show favoritism for a particular party. wasn't that tried before in world history? oh, yeah...forgot...those parts were taken out of textbooks.

Then again, they could quite the book written by now Senator Al Franken....

Rush Limbaugh is a big fat lair (the title of Franken's book).

that could sum up the entire Limbaugh story & still allow room for Lincoln, Washington & Cesar Chavez.
