gop congressman to file suit asking when obama stopped beating his wife

here we go again. via politico, arizona rep. trent franks is considering filing a lawsuit demanding that obama produce his longform birth certificate:

the other main issue dealt with numerous speakers questioning obama's birth certificate and why there wasn't an investigation into whether he is a naturalized citizen. one woman said a newspaper announcement of his birth in hawaii was not sufficient. another asked how he could have a passport without a birth certificate.

franks said there was not enough evidence that obama is not an american citizen. he did say there was a lot of conflicting evidence of obama's citizenship and that he was considering filing a lawsuit, the only congressman to do so. franks asked why the president did not simply produce a birth certificate.

now, we know that even if obama went to every house in america and personally showed folks his birth certificate, that would not satisfy the after-birthers. they would just find some other bizarre conspiracy theory to flog. as one of the commentors on politico puts it so succinctly:

besides, we all know what this is really about, as nobody cared about any presidents birth certificate until we elected a black one.

(we'd suggest, that if you want laugh and have some time to spare, you read the comments on politico. the majority of opinions are so far out there that they make fox muldar look like walter kronkite.)

but pesonally, we hope that rep. franks does file a public lawsuit! we'd love to bring just how loony the gop is back into the spotlite.

also, it wouldn't hurt the now-muddled healthcare debate to remind everyone just how rabidly out-of-touch-w/reality the "party of no" actually is. death panels? check. obama as manchurian zulu commie candidate? check. just add 'ufo's flurodating our water for zombie mind control' and you've got a conspiracy theory parade big enough to make david icke look sane.

Ask this jerk wad the following:

How many people died in Afghanistan this month?
59 so far & 71 last month. The largest monthly death tolls since we started a war in Afghansitan.

Ask when did the U.S war start in Afghanistan?
2001

How much money we've spent on wars since 2001.
A trillion bucks.

Another way to stump the panel is to ask tough questions like:

How much is a gallon of gas?
Loaf of bread?
Federal minimum wage?

You will likely get that *deer-in-the-headlights* gazed look/response.

Not a clue about what matters to We the People, but would waste endless time & money on the birther topic.
