I think I kinda disagree with that Penguin...but then I was always a Ford man...
Nowdays tho I religiously operate a KIA... it is solid, good interior appointments, and economical (4cyl.) and affordable.
IF Detroit would stoop to be of the same quality and price as many imports...I'd switch back to 'Murican in a heartbeat...but I have been driving for nearly forty years and owned cars for every bit of it and instead of American built meaning better quality and price as the years went by I just saw more and more crap till I finally tossed in the towel and switched to foreign made and have had no reason to look back in the last ten years...
I KNOW cars san be made better and cheaper here...we all know this..but we also live in a culture where that omnipresent background thought of,"I'm gonna get MINE this Time !!" is a real and I believe dangerous meme that has seeped into the American Consciousness...
