tweety might quit

if we were more rude, we'd insert a joke about our good luck in first losing tim russert. however, we have enough decorum to avoid bad taste humor, so we will simply report on chris matthews' apparent consideration to quit msnbc so he can run for the u.s. senate in pennsylvania. politico:

chris matthews is dead serious about running for the senate in pennsylvania — and is shopping for a house in the state and privately discussing quitting msnbc as proof of his intense interest, according to nbc colleagues, political operatives and friends.

even so, some nbc insiders think it’s all simply a negotiating ploy to jack up his contract.

the garrulous host of the show "hardball with chris matthews" has already picked out a home in philadelphia to establish residency in the state, according to a democratic operative in discussions with him about a potential candidacy. over thanksgiving weekend, at his vacation house in nantucket, matthews’ family members gave him their full backing.
pennsylvania is very nice, quite pretty, and we would not want any disaster to befall their lovely state, but...

better them than the rest of us.

best of all would be for him to quit msnbc, run for senate and lose.
Maybe he is just pissed off that Rush got that absurd amount of money for basically making shit up and Chris gets bupkiss for at least trying to be honest..
So, soak 'em for the money...
His own personal bail-out plan if you will....
