why even vote for democrats

they cave in to everything.
democrats have decided to allow a quarter-century ban on drilling for oil off the atlantic and pacific coasts to expire next week, conceding defeat in a months-long battle with the white house and republicans set off by $4 a gallon gasoline prices this summer. - sfgate

wonder if they have ever seen our gentle neighbors in the channel, whose lives and welfare they just threw under the speedboat.

With the decimation of the drilling and pumping and refining industry by the recent hurricanes, I don't think they imagine that the industry could get their drill on before they fix the thing.

Jill,

You're out to sea on this one. The drilling ban expires in days and with BushCo in the White House there is absolutely no way they can put new legislation through that will renew what has been. Certainly not with the population in SUVs crying over the price of gas. Many dems have come out and said openly that this election cycle will decide our off shore drilling policies.
