apparently chuck hagel's military service

and medals (vietnamese cross of gallantry, purple heart, army commendation medal, and the combat infantryman) aren't enough for the right-wing "vets for freedom" - think progress

"now, again, with sen. hagel — my problem with sen. hagel is, again, his experienced is based on what? the mekong delta. it’s based to vietnam, a totally different fight, a totally different enemy, and by the way, it was 30 years ago.....but show me what battle he fought in iraq. a man’s war..." david bellavia

So obviously McBush has more experience by being shot down and being a POW for five years.

How many of these sorry-assed whiny titty babies HAVE fought in Iraq???

Not many, I'd venture.

Um, now this is the same crew that is supporting a bunch of political hacks who drank beer and flew sorties over the sovereign state of Mexico as "military experience," who got us into this invasion. Is that accurate?

Yes, that's about the most ignorant comment I've seen here. And if Iraq is a "mans war" and Vietnam wasn't, what was Vietnam? Granted, most of those who arrived in Vietnam were only teens, but all of those who left were men (and women).

I just love it when these non-vet pansies like Bellavia, whoever he is, discredit those who have proven themselves to be brave, tough and experienced.

Boy, there's absolutely no consistency to their arguments... and sometimes, not even their targets.
