jane hamsher at firedoglake (actually tracy russo, formerly of the edwards campaign) asks a perfectly reasonably question about john mccain:

how can a man who doesn't know how to use a computer run the united states?
on a side topic, may we say that jane is the personification of classiness, considering the crap she puts up with from the hardly-ever-right wing while herself doing thru chemotherapy and other family tragedies.

addendum: according to ben smith, mccain aide mark soohoo assures us that mccain is aware of the internet. but the question remains, is he aware of all internet traditions?

double addendum: john cole at balloon juice beat us to the "all internet traditions" punchline!

triple addendum: so did newshoggers!

That's absurd comment given the current state of affairs. Does anyone really believe the current usurper of the Oval Office has any idea of the meaning of the black marks on the square white things. He's not pre-computer, he is pre-hammer, chisel and stone.

McCain is not a second coming of Bush. Nader's charge that there is no difference between the Democrats and Republicans has more validity since the Democrats have sold their soul to the corporations as much as have the Republicans. Yes, there is a difference in degree, but that degree is over minor wedge issues (such as abortion). It's no accident that the Democrats control Congress and yet have continued to fund the war in Iraq and support Bush's wiretapping, eliminating Habeus Corpus and trampling of the Bill of Rights.

Wow skippy! Y'all are on a roll today.

Sheer, inspired genius!

(Okay, I see now that this is yesterday. I'm only just now reading it. It's true, I am always a day late and a dollar short. It's just that my son is a computer hog.>)
