night of the living hillary

joe gandelman at the moderate voice examines the "comeback" narrative for sen. clinton's campaign in light of the texas primary:

one factor already being talked about in texas is: did talk show host rush limbaugh help tilt the scales there with his call on republicans to cross over the primary and vote for clinton to sandbag obama? there is already some buzz suggesting he might have. conservative blogger and talk show host hugh hewitt:

if hillary ekes out close wins, stays alive, gains the nomination and the white house, will rush hold the bible at her inauguration?

bill o’reilly was just on with brit hume giving rush the credit for the clinton comeback –which is certainly the least expected bit of campaign 2008 news in this very, very long campaign.

a month ago talk radio was dead. now it has resurrected hillary?

I accidentally heard Rush on Fox today...( I hit the wrong button to get to the weather channel) and Rush was being interviewed about his (cough) "Victory" getting people to vote for Hillary....BUT what really caught my ear as to WHY.....He wants to cause "TOTAL CHAOS WITHIN THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY"....So let me get this straight, he does not want McCain..BUT he wants Chaos...so he has now decided to be an anarchist...??? I don't get it...

and are people really that spoonfed by him that they would run off and vote as he ordered???how strange...and sad....after all these years of Bush, aren't we as a Nation better than that...

That would account for five votes. Republicans would explode before voting for HRC.

Rush would do better preaching his hate to those few but vocal BO supporters who repeat the GOP talking points of hate about Hillary Clinton. Apparently some left nuts will believe and echo right wing nuts -- I almost wonder which nut will sink lowest. I could go on about strange bedfellows, nuts getting into the sack together, etc., but let's face it, I suck at comedy.

Seems fitting as how many Republicans voted for Obama in the earlier primaries. Mr. Hopey just got a taste of the bad side of open primaries.

IMHO, she won because of the nasty telephone ad and the coy "60 Minutes" interview in which she replies to the Obama-is-a-closet-Muslim accusations in her cagey Nixonian way that she "has nothing to base that on"--excuse me?

Nasty politics, the Clintons excel at it--I hope Obama knows the kind of duplicitous meanness that awaits him, now that she has proven so successful at it.
