second verse, same as the first, a little bit longer and a little bit worse
super tuesday has come and gone, and about the only thing that has been decided is what a loser mitt romney is.
tho hillary clinton won several big states, the delegate count between her and barack "to the future" obama is about even. msnbc:
tho hillary clinton won several big states, the delegate count between her and barack "to the future" obama is about even. msnbc:
california was the big prize of the night, and clinton was winning well more than half of the vote. the state offered 370 delegates, but because of the democratic nominating rules, clinton will not win all of them. Combined with sen. barack obama’s win in his home state of illinois and his significant haul of delegates in numerous smaller states, the race for the democratic nomination was likely to be a dead heat.
mike huckabee won several states, but john mccain took home the lion's share of repubbblican delegates. cnn:mccain capped the night by taking california and its 170 delegates…
mccain also won connecticut, illinois, missouri, new jersey, new york, oklahoma, delaware and arizona, his home state, according to cnn projections. full february 5 results
mccain has gathered 514 delegates so far in his presidential campaign, including tonight's projections. former massachusetts gov. mitt romney has 177 delegates, and former arkansas gov. mike huckabee has 122.
in georgia, huckabee edged out mccain, who held a slim margin over romney.
romney got wins in alaska, colorado, massachusetts, minnesota, montana and utah.
aside from mccain's front-runner status coming more into focus, nothing much has changed since this time yesterday. except we're all another day older and deeper in debt...mccain also won connecticut, illinois, missouri, new jersey, new york, oklahoma, delaware and arizona, his home state, according to cnn projections. full february 5 results

My turn to vote takes place on the 12th. I was pulling for Edwards for a little while, but he's out of the race, so I'm down to two corporate stooges and an also-ran who's 77 years old to choose from. Even worse, Virginia might be the state that turns the tide in favor of either Obama or Clinton, securing him or her the nomination. This is like a replay of the 2006 race between Webb and Allen, which gave the Dems "control" of the Senate, only more intense and far more irritating for one's soul. My vote might actually count for something again. Lucky, lucky me.
I may be living in New Hampshire by the time 2012 rolls around. Earlier voting, less pressure...

Mahablog also made the point that four years ago right wing radio went out of its way in characterizing Kerry as a rich, effete snob from Massachusetts.
Whoa!
Karma. It's not just a cool word it really can be an SOB.
That opening line is great, BTW!
