dear network moderators
i wish you would stop calling them "debates"...they are nothing but talking point advertisements.
how about questions on:
the environment.
anything about the disasterous environmental state of our country (let alone the world). oh, h**l, forget the boxer or brief questions...i want to know "paper, plastic or your own?"
companies shuffling off pensions to the government to handle.
not a freakin' sound coming out of anyone regarding this, especially after their secretive switch to riskier investments to try to shore up a $14bn deficit.
walter reed hospital.
yeah...remember the horrible conditions. changes haven't been made. why not bring that up in discussions of healthcare. especially now since senator byrd has been taken there this evening...but i don't think he'll get the shabby treatement our soldiers are being given. hey, and here's another question...why is the government paying disney $800,000 for a 4-hour seminar to "train" walter reed employees?
how foreclosures are affecting cities.
cities claiming chapter 9 bankruptcy because of disappearing tax base and how that will affect the economy and people's lives.
national security risks at home due to needed equipment in iraq.
what about missing national guard equipment needed by states to deal with emergencies...yeah, natural disasters or terrorist attacks. it's a national security issue. not a peep from the candidates on display tonight.
and so much more. i'm so tired of these gab fests. we need to be asking some seriously tough questions instead of skating on superficial happy talk spin sessions.

The problem, of course, is in the moderators. How about a debate moderated by Amy Goodman of Democracy Now, just for starters?
They should really call them movies of the week they're so scripted.
WHO is the worse Moderator Wolf or Russert????that is THE Question....I don't have a polite answer....
( but if I liveblog any more of these I will have to take to drink....I am DONE.. when the first one was on last SUMMER my son bet me I could not liveblog them all- I had NO idea there would be TWENTY!!!!.....Watergate Summer....straightjacket blogging.....oye)
Please Please Please NO MORE....maybe we should start a petition...
