when the hardly-ever-right eats their own

it's instapundit vs. sully! glenn:

do not trust content from andrew sullivan: i can't go around answering all of andrew sullivan's misrepresentations, but it's telling that he can't seem to criticize me without misrepresenting what i've said. in this post he links to a truncated version of my views on the torture debate on another blog.

glenn goes on to deride andrew for linking not to glenn's blog, but another blog (our buddy instaputz, whose blog specializes in deconstruting the original prof. reynolds' writings) quoting only part of glenn's post.

sully, on the other hand, pulls an atrios and only writes a short sentence, linking to instaputz. and therein lies glenn's objection.

without reading either glenn's complete essay on torture, or instaputz' dissection of same, we would posit that it's quite lazy of sully to merely link to another blog without actually offering any analysis (as we said, "atrios").

however, we would also maintain that glenn's argument is really with instaputz, not andrew sullivan at all, and thus he ducks the issue (and avoids giving instaputz any traffic) by dealing only with sullivan.

to watch prof. reynolds attack someone on his side of the political agenda (however tangentially) when his beef is actually w/somebody on the opposite side of the aisle is circular firing squad action worthy of the democrats in congress.

and besides, remember to vote for skippy!
