crashing the page

as booman puts it, it's official, the revolution is over.

renee in ohio sends us this bit of news from huffpo:

score one for the netroots! newsweek has just announced that markos moulitsas, namesake and founder of the daily kos website, will be a contributor for the 2008.
we personally weren't aware that there were more than one instances of "2008," and thusly the one during which markos will be writing for newsweek had to be designated as "the 2008."

snarking over obvious typos aside, it does seem like snowball is eating at the human table inside the farmhouse. but it could be worse, we suppose. wonkette could be writing for time.

oh, wait...

i'm perfectly fine with letting markos have his day in the sunshine. if he starts sounding like jokeline, we can adjust accordingly. would skippy turn down an offer to write for newsweek?

and i am formerly known as whig, might as well use my name.

D'oh! How did I not catch that "the 2008" thing?

"Score one for the netroots" my ass.

Markos reminds me of a union steward I used to know. This m'fug was so down with his union steward responsibilities you wouldn't believe it. And your disbelief would have been justified -- the company we both worked for offered him a supervisory position, he accepted it, and his antagonism toward the management disappeared in the middle of the night.

So score one for Markos Moulitsas instead of the netroots. He impresses me. But he does not speak for me.

And he never did. He just knew how to go about getting what he really wanted...

Bartkid sez,
It's a typo.
It should read "teh 2008".
