testy, one, two, three, testy...
hillary clinton got a little defensive in iowa this weekend, when a voter asked her a legitimate question. nypost:
so, mrs. clinton, why not just address the issue, instead of dressing down the questioner?
that being said, we'd take issue with the nypost's sexist headline, it girl to snit girl. first of all, tho we're big fans of clara bow and get the reference, mrs. clinton is a long ways away from being a "girl." and, we'd like to know when the nypost portrayed any male candidates who disagreed with voters as throwing a 'snit.'
addendum: no more mister nice blog has our answer, and the answer is 'no, the nypost has not portrayed male candidates that way, at least not in the case of rudy giuliani':
oh, no, no sexism there.
in a rare departure from her tightly scripted remarks, the former first lady lashed out at an audience member steamed at her senate vote to declare iran's revolutionary guard a terrorist organization.
randall rolph, of nashua, iowa, compared the vote to the one clinton cast for the iraq war resolution, asking, "why should i support your candidacy . . . if it appears you haven't learned from your past mistakes?"
clinton hit back hard, saying, "the premise of the question is wrong, and i'll be happy to explain that to you."
then she suggested rolph was a plant, saying his question was based on something "somebody obviously sent you."
she soon backed down, telling him, "i apologize. it's just that i've been asked the very same question in three other places."
still, rolph, who says he is an undecided democratic voter, was annoyed. "it really offended me with her response that those words are not my own," he said.
we would humbly suggest that if the same question is being asked of sen. clinton, it would seem to indicate that she hasn't actually provided an answer, ergo, the question needs to be asked again and again.randall rolph, of nashua, iowa, compared the vote to the one clinton cast for the iraq war resolution, asking, "why should i support your candidacy . . . if it appears you haven't learned from your past mistakes?"

back in july, a man at a campaign event in new hampshire asked rudy giuliani why he had made "new york city a sanctuary for illegal aliens."
giuliani went ballistic:
"you must be talking about another candidate," said giuliani, who went on to argue that his administration urged the federal government to deport as many illegal immigrants as possible."here are the three areas that you have distorted into this view that i gave sanctuary to illegal immigrants," said giuliani, turning his back on the voter and addressing the other voters, seated on couches and loveseats around him...
"that's why you are wrong," said giuliani.
"as mayor of new york city," he said. "if i was nothing else, i was rational and sensible."
this was covered, as far as i can determine, by one (1) news organization -- the new york observer -- which pointed out, by the way, that giuliani was whitewashing his record as mayor.
yesterday, by contrast, hillary clinton was asked a sharp question about her iran stance at a campaign event in iowa. she had words the questioner, accusing him of being a plant from a rival campaign ... and then (unlike giuliani in july) she apologized.
nmmnb then lists the six, count 'em, six media organs (including the asspress, which syndicates its stories all over the world) that covered sen. clinton's "snit."giuliani went ballistic:
