pravda on the hudson

as greenwald has demonstrated today, on iraq (and most questions of domestic politics), other than klugman, what is left of the nyt opinion page worth reading for purposes other than rolling on the floor, gasping for breath and pouring tears and laughing one’s posterior off at the sheer brilliance of its satirical characterizations of people who actually have a clue? maybe that's why so many in blogtopia cheerfully pay the premium for timeselect. for the reliable opportunity to laugh in a dark and dangerous world.

This has a thing that they might drop the paywall--they're not making money, and they've lost enormous buzz. Except for Krugman and Herbert, they're all pathetic and very ill-informed, i think.

don't forget herbert! they have the two worth reading so that, with a schedule now impossible to remember, we have to check in every day looking for one of these fine writers only to find neither and have to consider whether or not to read dowd (ragging on clintons or, worse, edwardses) or... shudder... brooks (nope. never again. i mean it this time. really.).

the times chums with krugman & herbert in order to hook us and tear our lips off with dowd and brooks. catch & release or not (and, of course, they are), it f*ckin' hurts to get hooked over and over again.
