This falls into the category I call "Respectful": nothing new, really except the drums and bass loop, but still, very respectful. And clearly it works because:

1. The song is one any songwriter would give his/her left hand to have written,

2. Mick Hucknall is a wonderful singer.

I mean, for the love of God: all I need is the air that I breathe and to love you.

Cole Porter and Hoagy Carmichael would have sold their souls for that lyric.
