link back in anger

imagine our surprise yesterday to find a number of traffic hits coming from the wizard of kos's own site.

it turns out that a new feature of the dkos (which we haven't visited since being ignominiously dumped from markos's blogroll) is a randomly-generated list of 10 of the 200 most popular user links, now found directly under the blogroll. our humble site was on this random list yesterday, as we are on a number of dkossack user blogrolls.

we are, of course, grateful for any traffic. but don't think this means we're going to put dkos back on our roll, even on a random basis. after all, we managed thru our own hard work to get into the top 200 most popular user links (even if we're only number 199).

as one of skippy's interns said the other day, "markos is a brilliant blogger in the same way tom sawyer was a brilliant fence painter."

this does however give us a chance to bring up some more new sites for our blogroll in our blogroll amnesty day program.

(it also gives us a chance for the neat osborne pun in the headline. literate? yes, we are, thank you for noticing.)

so without further ado, please join us in welcoming to our roll some sites which we inadvertantly left off of our previous amnesty day efforts:

blue girl, red state (not the same as blue gal, but now very probably right next to her on our roll)

the gypsy's caravan

universal health

and annie's annals (who has had skippy on her roll for sometime, we apologize for taking so long to reciprocate, annie!)

remember, if you've linked to skippy and would like a reciprocal link, just email us and let us know!

addendum: our bad! we've also added nine pearls, which we had refrained from doing because we were too stupid to find our own link under veronica's "daily reads" pop up.

One should always read Veronica; she always has something to say, even when she denies it most vociferously.
