us commits act of war against iran

i was wrong. i didn't think he would do it, but the little guttersnipe in the white house had the troops raid an iranian consulate in northern iraq. according to the washington post:
u.s. troops raided an iranian consulate in northern iraq late wednesday night and detained several people, iran's main news agency reported today, prompting protests from tehran just hours after president bush pledged to crack down on the islamic republic's role in iraqi violence.

the report has been confirmed by our own officials. bush is trying to provoke a military response by iran and set the whole region at war.

nationwide protests over the war are already planned for tonight. if you weren't going to attend these protests before, you should reconsider. you should go. you don't have to register, just show up.

click here to find where people will be gathering in protest tonight.

update: the us official disputes the report that a consulate was raided.
but the official disputes accounts from iran that the troops broke open a consulate gate and conducted a raid.

"no shots were fired. no altercation ensued," the u.s. official. "it was a knock on the door and 'please come out.' "

a knock on the door and a "please come out"? like "can mohammed come out and play?" sure, that's believable. one always sends armed forces to knock on the door and request an audience.

Looks like "The Dunce" might just invade Iran and Syria while he's still in office...God help us.

An overwhelming display of force would be unlikely to be met by force on the part of diplomats. They would simply surrender, and so they presumably did.

You're right, this is quite bad.
