the only skippy-endorsed candidate won!

debra bowen, the only candidate that this blog officially endorsed, has won her bid to become the secretary of state for california, thus bringing the promise of clean elections to the golden state. sfchron:

debra bowen, a democratic state senator from southern california, won her battle with appointed gop incumbent bruce mcpherson in a hard-fought race for california secretary of state.

with all precincts reporting, bowen had 48.5 percent of the vote, with 44.7 percent going to mcpherson.

bowen, 51, of marina del rey (los angeles county), ran a campaign that stressed the need for election reform, including close scrutiny of the reliability of electronic voting machines.
since debra is the only candidate that this blog endorsed, that means we are batting 100%! far better than dkos!

I was three for four but one of those was Hillary, so that's a gimme...I had Tester (was one of the first outside Montana, too!), and John Hall.

And Debra was the only candidate I sported a bumper sticker for!

Which I had to remove Tuesday to go park my poll for my precinct inspector job at the polls....

We hates the Diebold machines. They worked fine for us, thankfully, but - we hates them. I had to resort to handing out paper ballots when the lines backed up so badly at 6 pm. Otherwise it would've been a really late night for us. Fortunately we have about 150 absentee voters in our precinct, or would've been worse.
