homeland security shoots miami airline passenger

a man on an american airlines flight from columbia who was believed to have a bomb in his luggage was taken off the plane in miami, and shot by homeland security air marshalls when he reached into his carryon bag.

newsday reports the shooting happened on the plane, but cnn tv is reporting it happened on the jetway between the plane and the airport.

as of now, no bomb has been found, but it's been a matter of minutes since the event.
